His research focuses on the field of Molecular Nutrition and Molecular Pathophysiology, more specifically it focuses on the study of the molecular mechanisms involved in the control of cellular and metabolic processes by food and food components in relation to body weight control, obesity and associated metabolic complications, cancer and aging. It is also involved in the identification and validation of new biomarkers for the characterization and quantification of physiological functions related to food and health.
