Special issue of Molecules on “Natural Antioxidants, Dyes and Their Synthetic Analogs"...
Currently, our research interests are focused in the following areas:
1. Characterization of the enzymes involved in the biosynthesis and modification of the metabolites of saffron:
Glycosyltransferases and glycosidases (CAZY enzymes) of flavonoids and apocarotenoids of Crocus sativus.
Characterization of the genes involved in the biosynthesis dioxygenases of apocarotenoids in saffron.
2. Elucidation of the regulation of biosynthesis apocarotenoids in saffron and related species through omics approaches.
